Titleist Golf Clubs Take Steve Stricker to Victory

Steve Stricker used his Titleist golf clubs to win a 3 way playoff, and the title at the Colonial, held in Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday. Stricker had the 36 hole lead, with a record breaking 126.

What are The Longest Drivers on the Market?

There are two sports/games that are really spinoffs from golf. Miniature golf is one of them, and it seems so silly that I dread doing it, but it usually turns out being more fun than I throught. The other spinoff is the long drive competition, which has become big money, and very popular. I can’t really say why any self-respecting golfer would get too excited about putting into a metallic hippo’s mouth, but I can certainly empathize with the desire to drive the ball a long distance. Having the right driver can certainly help with that.

Ping G10 Driver Ranks #1 In Testing and Reviews

in

Here’s what the marketing department at Ping has to say about the Ping G10 driver, “Using finite element analysis (FEA) driven by a Cray Supercomputer, Ping engineers optimized the G10 driver's crown, sole and face structure interaction to ensure maximum energy transfer to the ball. The 460cc driver features a larger profile with a taller face and deeper crown that produces a higher MOI (moment of inertia) for greater forgiveness and increased ball velocity.”

TaylorMade Golf Clubs Carry Rory Sabbatini to Victory at Byron Nelson Championship

Rory Sabbatini plays TaylorMade golf clubs, and took full advantage of the opportunity to win the Byron Nelson Championship. It’s the first victory since 2007 for the South African living in Fort Worth, Texas.

Sabbatini beat out Brian Davis by 2 strokes by birdying holes 15, 16 and 17, and that was good enough that his bogey on the 72nd hole didn’t matter.

MacGregor Golf Clubs Bought Out by Golfsmith

MacGregor golf clubs have been languishing for the last few years. Now, Golfsmith has bought the brand practically for the low, low price of $1.75 million, made in 8 easy payments of $218,750, with no payments until May, 2010. It sounds like a deal on a big screen TV at the local electronics store.

Mountain Golf

When most people think of Colorado mountain recreation, they think of world-class skiing. But the state offers another great sport to which many ski enthusiasts are oblivious: golf. Buried under feet of snow in ski season, numerous courses feature spectacular views and great golf in the summertime.

Yonex Nanospeed i Driver Reviews

The Yonex Nanospeed i driver reviews have been good in general. The club head has a futuristic look to it, with sort of a pentagon shaped head. The shape helps increase club head speed without having to swing harder, and this of course, makes the ball go farther.

Briny Baird’s 9-Iron Hits the Bull’s Eye

in

From 340 feet above Petco Park, Briny Baird hit 10 golf balls at a target that was 268 yards away. The target was in right field, and the purpose was charity. For each bull’s eye, P.F. Chang’s donated $2000. The inner and outer ring meant a donation of $1000 and $500. He scored on 8 out of 10 shots, and earned $17,500 for the San Diego Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society. He started out thinking a 5-iron was the right club, but an easy 9-iron turned out to be the right club.

Titleist Golf Clubs Give Zach Johnson the Win at the Texas Open

Zack Johnson is not the longest guy on the PGA tour, so he relies on the accuracy of his driver to remain competitive with longer drivers. Titleist golf clubs are known to be among the most accurate, and they are performing very well in 2009 for Zach. He won the Sony Open earlier this year, and this is his second victory of the year, and a successful defense of his 2008 Texas Open title.

Power Bilt Air Force One Hybrid Golf Clubs

I’m excited about Power Bilt’s unique technology that they’ve brought out in their Air Force One line of fairway woods and hybrids. The Power Bilt Air Force One hybrid golf clubs are pressurized up to 150 psi with nitrogen gas. The pressure allows them to eliminate some of the metal that would be used to maintain structural soundness. This allows them to use that extra weight to control where the center of gravity might be, or just eliminate it altogether.
